A year later: Impact 35 why so quiet?

So a year later, why are there so few YouTube videos from the "influencers" on the impact in 35? Full disclaimer, I pre-ordered one of these and it was a disaster. All over the place, not accurate, went back for repairs, came back... still was all over the place... I have an impact in 30, 25, and 22.... tack drivers out of the box... eventually was able to get a refund on the 35 due to its' problems did not and will not re-order another. A year in the wild not much discussion on the impact in 35 and certainly the big you tubers aren't using this c configuration since their initial videos when they got them a year ago... coincidence? Perhaps 35 is a stretch too far in the impact platform?

I see plenty of videos out there with the Impact .35 doing very well from the usual youtubers and others also. Sorry you got one of the few bad ones. I got a bad SK-19 as well, but like your Impact, my SK is not the norm but one of the exceptions from the many thousands of good guns these companies turn out regularly.

Unless you hunt I really don't see the need for a 150fpe pellet gun myself. The .35 pellets are spendy and at 40 shots per fill you will be doing allot of filling. Probly, one of several reasons, why there are a few, not many, in the classifieds as of late. Don't forget that there are several around that buy a gun do a review on it then sell the gun.

Seems to werq fine to me they are shooting MOA at 100 yards with 135-150fpe nothing wrong with that.

Plenty of people turn pellet guns into big bores and do well at it others not so much.

I have a 9mm Crosman pistol and a carbine as well. They are not overly powerful at 45 and 100FPE but I have not tuned them to do more either. Maybe when I have a bigger air supply it will make more sense to make them more powerful. But since I haven't shot them in over a year that is on the back burner and so the problem with the .35. They just don't get shot.

I thought about an Impact in .35. When I realized that switching from small to big bore was not as simple as staying .30 and under, I decided against it. I am a hunter and had a yard full of big mean raccoons. I bought a .357 Benjamin Bulldog customized by Brian Thurman at Veradium Air, and I'm glad I did. I feel it better to have a dedicated big bore than to try and go back and forth from small to big bore.

I was very interested in the impact .35 ....now I think the twin reged large plenum Maverick .30 would be a better way to go , and just buy another dedicated big bore .357 or larger gun , in fact you could buy the maverick . 30 ,and the AEA Challenger .357 like I just bought together for close to the same price as the Impact .35 ... I am still figuring out the Challenger stock 3600 psi it will push a 81 g JSB at around 1000 fps or better , and it is better to shoot those with just 3000 psi and below to slow them down for better accuracy...... hole threw hole shots are possible at 50 yards that I have tested so far .... sig shooter on youtube claims 900 fps with 125g slug at 3600 psi .... from what I have looked at so far around 100 g slug will fit the 10 shot mag , any thing more and there is a good chance you will have to single load the gun , trigger is very heavy single stage ,but can be a lot better with contact points polished out to 1500-2000 grit sand paper ,and light lubed ... 530 bucks shipped is what I payed from Bin sig shooter on you tube for the 24 inch barrel model.... 32 inch barrel is also available separately or with the gun if they are available in stock ....Dan H

I don’t really get why everyone is having problems with the .35 platform. Maybe I was just lucky with the one I received from Utah Airguns but mine groups incredibly well at 50 yards using slugs. 887ish FPS (first pic) making 160 ft/lbs. and another 50 yard grouping using lower quality eBay pellets at 845ish (second pic) Both are 5 shot groups
