AA S510 question

I just received a new AA S510 XS carbine in .177. I have been using JSB Exacts 8.44g diabolos for initial testing. I have found that on the second to lowest power setting, the gun will not even get the pellet out of barrel. I need to recock and crank up the power to get the pellet out.

Just seems to me that a gun that is advertised to have 5 power settings should be able to get the pellet out the end of the barrel.

Is this typical? Should i discuss with the retailer?

TIA,
Joe

I'd try some different pellets first, since their size can vary by a substantial amount. I have two guns in the s510 platform--in .22 and .25--and both will expel the pellets I use (mostly AA falcons) at the lowest settings with no problem. Though I haven't tried, I do suspect that I could find pellets which wouldn't been expelled due to their size and weight. FWIW, I never use the very lowest setting, but the 2nd lowest is pretty much ALL I use on the .25 for backyard pesting.

Thanks for the reply. I shoot indoor 10 meter, and outdoor 25 yard pesting, so was interested in the lower power settings. I'll try a few diff. pellets. I was going to chrony the 5 power settings, but that is hard to do if the pellet doesn't get expelled!
