Guys, the HPS shoots JSB 25.39 RDM pellets best. The slugs I tried shot okay. The 28gr Zan shot best. The truth is, I’m looking to begin retail sales soon and I am not going to be able to sell the HPS as a slug gun for which it is marketed. I love the .30 Evol (PRS & Magnon) as well at the .22 Mini. I’ve also had great experiences with the Slayer.
The CARM single loader and mags worked well in the Evol. Their detent ball is a bit undersized however. This allows them to wiggle too much when mounted in the breech. This didn’t seem to hinder their function.
Try the Varmint Knockers 40gr dimple nose solids. My gun loves them at around 912fps. Also the Zan 40gr in .218 just shot a couple great groups out of mine, But I need to do more testing with the Zan to see if the gun really likes them.

So to be clear, your .22 AAA HPS shoots 40 grain slugs accurately at over 900 fps for about 80 FPE? Please enlighten us all how you got that kind of power from the AAA HPS. Describe your tune? Thanks.
Centercut. I will have to check to see what the reg pressure is set at right now when I can. I just increased the reg pressure in small incriments until I was getting the speed that I wanted. Then just fine tune it with the hammer spring. It will do 2 full mags at this power when filled to 4400psi.
