Just thought I'd jump in and say Thank you to Derrick. You did an amazing job with this gun. I have to say, it doesn't shoot anything like it did when I sent it to you. I could tell it was tuned (reg) just a bit too hot when the FPS increased when it came off reg. But I also knew she needed my skilled hands than mine. Master Wall is an amazing tuner. Whatever else you did to the innards of this gun has definitely calmed it down.
I've been shooting this gun for a few months now and it is just amazing. The groups are getting smaller as I get myself in tune with this girl. I did manage to shoot a 230 at 100 yards just a month or so ago. So I'd say she CAN win EBR. Now I just have to continue to do my part.
I'll be hitting the range tomorrow and I'll post a few pics if it doesn't pour rain on me.
Here is a thread on facebook I posted a couple of days ago.

Hey, I’m a new evol owner. What steps are required to remove the air tube and access the regulato? Just degass and unscrew the air tube?Degas, remove tube and have reg in hand in 10 minutes.

You pretty much nailed it. Degas the rifle and disassemble to the point needed.Hey, I’m a new evol owner. What steps are required to remove the air tube and access the regulato? Just degass and unscrew the air tube?
The barrel needs removed first, so the fill nipple can swing around freely without marring up the barrel. The tools manufactured by AAA specifically for maintenance are top shelf quality, just like the Evol. The spanner wrench is all you should need, but if the o-ring fails in one of her gauges then the gauge tool is priceless at the time.Hey, I’m a new evol owner. Wrong thread?? Lol But yeah I'd also love a rifle version of my Vets. Similar to the Cricket Carbines.I would love to get my hands on a veteran long and drop it in a rifle stock. We aren’t allowed Bullpup configured guns up here. Why for the love of god won’t taipan just make a rifle out of that platform already.
Not sure why I was thinking it was a taipan thread. Either way I’m sticking to it.Wrong thread?? Lol But yeah I'd also love a rifle version of my Vets. Similar to the Cricket Carbines.
The closest thing to that would be a Kalibrgun Cricket CarbineI would love to get my hands on a veteran long and drop it in a rifle stock. We aren’t allowed Bullpup configured guns up here. Why for the love of god won’t taipan just make a rifle out of that platform already.
What do you know - there's one for sale at AoA too.......The closest thing to that would be a Kalibrgun Cricket Carbine
And a gorgeous one at that! With a good price! What do you know - there's one for sale at AoA too.......
I don't know, I really really wish they would lose the effing pistol grip and use a regular sporting/hunting stock to keep the vertical profile down. Enough already, there are tactical AR compatible versions for this, tactical versions, and chassis systems. Stop doing it in wood too.And a gorgeous one at that! With a good price!
I get what you're saying, I hate it on the airacuda max, the airacuda standard has an awesome traditional sporter stock.I don't know, I really really wish they would lose the effing pistol grip and use a regular sporting/hunting stock to keep the vertical profile down. Rant over, but I'm still peeved about it, industry wide.
Well I kinda ranted out over on HAM about KalibrGun. I love their older tube stuff. It's sleek and look very stylish. Up through the Cricket 2 I think they just fit and feel amazing. From the Cricket 2 Tactical forward and especially since they added a bottle, the brand just looks like pieces chunked together - there is no flow in the design.I don't know, I really really wish they would lose the effing pistol grip and use a regular sporting/hunting stock to keep the vertical profile down. Yeah, I read that, and agree kind of. I mean, some people do like it fine, right? I like it too, but I like other things also and don't want everything to be the same. Whatever happened to regular old rifle stocks? The Revere, to me, is one of the best looking airguns around. Why aren't more people building airguns that look like that, but with more power? Why isn't Daystate?Well I kinda ranted out over on HAM about KalibrGun. I love their older tube stuff. It's sleek and look very stylish.
