AAFTA News! 2023 rules and announcements!

As a match director often miffed about often fielding questions answered in written and publicized rules (if only they were read), a quick view of the AAFTA News link and the link to the AAFTA (rules) handbook contained in that link fails to reveal the "rules revisions" I hoped to find. So although this is a true confession of guilt in (not) doing what no small percentage of competitors (don't) do, my point and method to my madness (this time) is pointing out my opinion that exponentially fewer competitors will read the handbook than would read "rules revisions".

BTW, this is not meant to be criticism. Just an observation by a voice of experience... obviously residing in a glass house.😂

Excellent job as Chairman Phillip. You killed it and we will miss you in that position. I know the rest of the people on the board are great also and will lead us down the road to bigger and better things. Thanks for the help answering questions when I was getting my Pensacola Airgun Club (PAC) started. I hope to see you over here in Florida shooting with us. Be safe.....BC

Understood!
It's always hard to find the balance between a short and to the point message and a lengthy detailed one. A more detailed news update was delivered to clubs and my hope is that clubs will step up and help educate shooters. In the end it is the responsibility of the competitor to educate themselves on updates. Finding the fool-proof method of that is hard to find!

Thanks for your support and help educating the shooters out there! Here's to shooting field target in 2023!

Thanks for the kind words.
I am excited for the new board and field target in 2023. And stoked about your new club! I'm still here to help AAFTA wherever my talents can be used!

Boy, FT is really growing in New England with the Rockville club in Connecticut and now the Massachusetts Rifle Club. I almost wish I still lived there.
I don't want to rub it in, but there is also Nenameseck in Palmer, Mass; Broome County near Binghampton NY and Palmyra Sportsmen Association in Palmyra, PA

We are truly lucky to have so many venues available to us. My wife and I were at some match or other almost every weekend this summer. Talk about jumping in the deep end, but practice and variety kept us on our toes.
