Hello AAFTA clubs!
June is here and the GP schedule is heating up!
In just one week there are dueling GP events happening the same weekend- The Baystate Challenge and the Nevada State FT championships, June 10-12. Good luck to the competitors, and thank you to these clubs for hosting these events.
But wait… there’s more!
In July we have another GP duel! July 15-17 is the Oregon State Championship GP AND July 16-17 is the Finger Lakes FT GP in Rochester NY! Both events will be great field target matches on the GP circuit and each will offer unique challenges. And as always they will be loads of fun to shoot! Sign up today- don’t delay!
The AAFTA Board of Governors (BOG) has been busy handling inquiries and proposals from club members as we work to help the sport progress. We have also been busy working on a new AAFTA Nationals Sponsorship program to elevate sponsor visibility and support at our Nationals event as well as throughout next years GP schedule. With time we are hopeful this effort will attract new shooters, new sponsors and enable AAFTA to support our clubs in new ways. If you are a business interested in getting on board with our sponsorship program please let us know and we will get you more info! And coming soon- we will be adding a ’subscribe’ button on the AAFTA web site that will allow individuals to sign-up to the AAFTA email list. This will enable us to directly communicate to field target shooters or those interested in learning more about the sport. It promises to be yet another way to promote your GP events and AAFTA news.
And lastly, has your club considered hosting the AAFTA National Championship in 2023? If you are interested in hosting please email the BOG. Hosting Nats is not only doing your part to further the sport we love, but it is a great way to grow interest at the club level. We look forward to your involvement!
