ABC Bell Target worth the price

Not real sure to put this but I got one of the bell targets from Mike at abctarget a little while back

(Just because this C19 has kept us from opening our range doesn’t mean we can’t keep improving it. I hope we will be able to open soon!!!!!.)
I have been looking for some steel mount and forget practice field targets that I can leave mounted, that will give the shooter the feedback and target size of the field targets but not freeze up because of rust. These targets fit the bill perfectly! Better yet they are made of some heavy gauge steel so I don’t have to worry so much about shooters pulling out a full powered .25 and killing my targets

I love the simplicity of these targets, Essentially the outer chamber has 4 Different size holes drilled In the center of each faceplate This means no faceplate washers to lose!! With the “bell” inside any shot through the hole makes a nice tinggggg that’s easy to tell the difference from the dull thud of a face plate hit
Mounting is a breeze one simple screw,

When compared to other field targets price wise they are comparable, No they are not knock-down targets but when you consider the heavier gauge metal and the fact that they can be mounted and left outside without worrying that they will freeze up from rust, And just as important without needing to worry if someone is shooting at them with an high powered air rifle it’s worth the price.
I plan on getting me about ten more for our range

Mike’s a great guy so reach out to him if your looking for some easy Mount and forget no worry Practice field targets

I had a bunch of pictures and video of shooting his targets on my laptop but it took a dump on me and of course the geek squad is closed for covid

Sounds like a nice practice target. Thanks for posting your experience with it.

My only counterpoint would be that I have a full course of Air Venturi Rat on the Run knockdown targets that I leave outside year round in Colorado. I have never lubed them yet, or performed any maintenance to them for years and they have never failed once for 12 -20 fpe rifles. The face plates are 1/8 steel, the reducers are bolted on from the side and you can swing them in and out of the kz, and they will not fall from a faceplate hit. For 18.00 each, they are an outstanding bargain....although the reset cord that comes with them is garbage. I replace it with 100# Tuf-Line orange braided Dacron.

I bought 10 of them and they work well. I use them with 10M rifles at 10 meters so they are not getting smacked with a high powered air rifle so I can’t say how they would hold up. You are correct though that they would make a great range target as they are fail proof. I have a couple of mine mounted outside year round. I just walk out on the back porch and shoot.
