Accessorizing ART (PP700SA)

I’m really enjoying this pistol! I still have a plan to turn it into a rifle with the folding stock or something else that I have in mind (rear adjustable sling used to carry the pistol and act as a rear support, like a stock).



One of the greatest additions was the rail on the air tube. I modded the rail to slide back over the front of the trigger guard to secure it from rotating around the tube. It’s a friction fit. I got the rail to add the bipod. Then as I spent some time with it I had dreams of becoming a rat pester and thought that a light could be a useful accessory in low light situations. I drilled and mounted a picatinny section to the side to accept the mount and the light.



Next i I would like to figure out a convenient way to carry some pellets for easy access to load on the run while chasing down those dirty vermin.



What have you got going on with yours? I could use some ideas....

I designed, machined and anodized it. It really comes in handy for single shot airguns.

Nice setup, I use an old Beeman pellet pouch, positioned where my belt buckle would be. I’ve killed over 200 rats with my pp700sa and the loading becomes a non-issue after a tin of pellets or two.

I double sided taped an old magazine on the side of mine. If this was my primary gun, I would be pestering Lee for one of his pieces. That thing is as nice as the one I have on my Leshiy. If not nicer.

I am working on a small run of dispensers now actually lol. Not a back idea how you repurposed the gamo maxxim magazine. I like the way your PP700 Shorty Looks. How many shorts are you getting with that setup?

Reg set at 130b, I get 15. It takes 26 pumps with the Hill to fill it back up. Velocity with the 8.5" LW is 750fps with a 7.3gr. Lots of time over the chrono and adjustments to maximize efficiency. Very accurate. Pistol feels like a pistol should.

Not bad at all! That setup is very convenient to carry around for rats while working around the property.

I have been testing this out today. It doesn’t do well at all from a seated, rested position. It definitely is best suited for on the move type shooting like hunting or plinking. I think the stock would be a much better option when seated at a bench and rested otherwise I think this sling is fantastic!

Ok, just an update on the morphing of ART, my PP700SA pcp pistol.

I have received the folding stock and mounted a UTG Bugbuster 3-12x32 scope. I really like this scope! So far I’m impressed. I think it’s cute too. Ha ha ha!

it shoots JSB RS 7.3 grain pellets the best with the Falcon 7.3 in second place.

Not Greenarrow but I can give you some info. The stock is not the most rigid in stock form. Its gets the job done and with a few mods it works great. I drilled and tapped the metal part of the stock so that I could put a 2nd screw thru the grips on each side. This takes the up/down movement out of it. I also glued some small piece of sheet plastic in the hinge an this take the slop out of it.

I don't have a tanto but just a cheapie 1"x5" LDC and it does just fine for me at about 16.5FPE

have any of you had issues with air leak? Mine has developed one from full it will be near empty in a week I would like to find more info o. The breakdown the videos I’m finding are all in foreign language, I did take the cylinder off cleaned everything up and put a lil lube around the o-rings it slowed a bit but isn’t right yet. Thanks. Mine leaked after I took the reg apart. But I just replaced all of the o-rings with quality ones and no leaks at all now.

If you know the sizes, these guys are great and ship quickly and free over $15. http://www.oringsandmore.com/. They had just what I needed for the Gamo/BSA 22 CNC mags I did when I couldn't find them anywhere else.
