Accuracy using red dot on a rifle?

I zeroed my laser at 20 yards and have killed 6 coons in the apple trees in total dark with just the attached light and laser....hip shots . .30 cal LCS.

wonder if you can turn center dot off ? the problem with red dot is it blocks the poi , maybe if the dot was a smaller circle ?
