Patchworm is fine in the majority of cases. But some barrels need more aggressive cleaning, especially if not broken in. If it needs it, then remove the barrel and clean from the breech with a good rod and brush, as you would with a cartridge rifle.
I got a lot of shooting in today. I was shooting the JSB Exact Diablo Hades 15.89g. Paying attention to small details what I discovered is the Hawke Vantage Scope Reticles are so fine that I can barely see them. I am now looking for a better scope in the $300-$400.00 price range. Recommendations ? Bill
Athlon scopes are very popular. Great glass and clarity. I’ve got a 6-24 x 50 Talos on one rifle. It’s one of the lower priced scopes but still plenty bright. Easy to see 22 holes at 50 on 12x for my old tired eyes. I recently picked up a Bushnell Match Pro 6-24 which is a fabulous scope but 2X the cost of the Talos. Optic is very sharp at 24x on the Match Pro while the Talos gets a tad less clear at higher magnifications but that’s what you can expect with the cost difference. Talos is 2nd focal plane so the reticle is easy to see at all magnifications but the Match Pro is 1st focal plane and the reticle scales when changing magnifications.
What a difference a scope makes ! Athalon Talos 4-16X50 SFP BDC 600 IR. I am shooting on target again. Thanks for all the Idea's It really helps. You Guy's are great ! Bill
