Adaptor to Attach DonnyFL RYU Moderator to Taipan Veteran 2 barrel.

I'm trying to fit a DonnyFL Ryu moderator on my new Taipan Veteran 2 Standard with 700MM, .25 barrel. I order the RYU and it arrived today. However, it won't fit the threads on the OEM barrel. So, I suppose I need an adaptor. The only adaptor I see on UtahAirguns site is one that threads on to the shroud?

Can anyone tell me what I need. My objective is to simply have a more streamlined moderated barrel.

Tony got back to me. He doesn't sell an adaptor for threaded Taipan Veteran 2 barrel to DonnyFL RYU.

I contacted DonnyFL's group. They don't make an adaptor for the Taipan Veteran II threaded barrel which are apparently M16 x 1.5 threads for moderator. However, they told me if I can make sure those are the correct threads they will see if they can dig up something. I'm going to the hardware store to buy a bolt with those threads to try on my TV 2 barrel. It think the R YU is so much better looking on the TV2 barrel.

I don't have a Veteran 2 but I've come across this with a barrel Talon Tunes sold that was supposed to be for the Veteran 1 but turned out to be for the Veteran 2. According to an email from Taipan, the thread is M15x1.25 and he said that they are coming out with a 1/2" UNF adapter "soon".

If you are going to source out a third party adapter, make sure it fits properly because as I know it, on the Veteran 2's, it is the suppressor that keeps tension on the barrel and shroud.

As for the Ryu, I've made that trip and came around full circle already with my Veteran 1 Long and Standard with the Koi and Ryu. I am back to the stock barrel shroud. Attached directly to the barrel, the Ryu is MUCH louder and the Koi is not much better compared to the stock barrel shroud. If you're attaching it to the end of the Veteran 2's stock suppressor, it's a different story but those are already huge on the Veteran 2 and I wouldn't think that adding a DonnyFL to the length will be of much benefit, if any at all.

I'm sorry, I just realized that you were talking about the Veteran 2 Standard. My comment above was directed towards the Veteran 2 Tactical which have a much bigger suppressors. In any case though, I still don't think that replacing the stock suppressor on the Standard with the Ryu will be a big improvement, if any.
