Yes, it's a 50 cal. Thompson Center Renegade I made from a kit in 1993.

- Funny story behind the kit; I built it, had it blued & was so proud of it, I ran down to my friend/neighbors house to show him.
Unfortunately, I forgot to zip the rear of the soft case and the gun came out the back when I was running …. and skipped on the cement sidewalk.
It was badly damaged to say the leasto_O.
I remember going home and sitting on my couch in a Cold Sweat I was so upset .................
About a week later, I started re-sanding the wood/metal work ......... and eventually had it re-blued.

Afterwards, It looked better than the original job:cool: ....... but I haven't shot it since the late 1990's.

A sad character building event!
Events like that caused me to coin a saying,

Hey Stan, I agree. I started that way. But ran out of wall. View attachment 522029Then had to alternate them which started problems.View attachment 522032I could get 3 more guns in a rack but with complications. The barrel goes under the stock of the gun above making it somewhat tricky to remove. Don’t like this setup. Never dropped one. Knock on wood.
I’m going to have to adopt Kirk’s type of setup and soon. If I remember correctly Lewis had a nice vertical setup as well. Crow
The only reason the rack has that issue is that it wasn't designed to be crossed. I wonder how many it would hold if it were designed for a crossed set up?

how about another set of racks in front of the ones you have already ? like off set sliding doors , one slides in front of the other ?
Maybe the front rack could slide and temporarily block a doorway while you pick a gun off the wall rack ? thereby saving wall space .
these would be on tracks top and bottom

Yes .20 Cal.,
Many times people have asked why I use certain techniques while making something?
I usually tell them, a way … where if I screw up, I know how to fix it without anyone knowing I did.

I was sarcastically going to say, hell with it put a motor on it and drive your rack to the range. But ironically Stan you might have sparked an idea. Crow
