Adjustable hamster $68.00

My Bass Pro receipt says, Ram Universal Elect Mount $67.99. This mount is designed to hold electronic fish finders.
It is a center clamp with hard rubber spheres at both ends. Everything else is steel. It really clamps securely.
I already own Tim Mac's version and Raw version. The UK has an expensive indexing model that most top shooters prefer. I am going to try and fit this new mount/riser to a TX200.
Has anyone tried using this type of double sphere mount?
They also sell a smaller ALL plastic smaller mount for $40.00.

I tried one but found i could not tighten it enough. Kept slipping. Maybe you will have better luck.
I used to use one of these RAM mounts on my TX200.

The trick to tightening these RAM mounts is to use leverage. I found a PVC pipe with a diameter just large enough to fit over the handle. Then I cut the PVC pipe to length to give me more leverage to tighten.

They do work for FT. The problem limiting widespread use in FT I suspect is consistent positioning of the hamster and ease of adjustment.
I remember when I was using these RAM mounts, they tend to spin around in all axis when you loosened them and it was hard to put these RAM type hamster back into a consistent position. I usually change hamster position for a standing or kneeling shot ...or if a target is elevated.

The product I bought were all made of aluminum. I think. I remember cutting into one a long time ago to fit my TX200...and it was shiny like aluminum and cut like aluminum.

They have been around for awhile and I've seen others adapting them as FT hamsters starting about 10-15 years ago.

Seems like it would be easier
to buy something "made" for the purpose... as you still need UIT or T-rail or Pic rail or ARCA rail attachments?
