Help I've been trying to refill my Argon filled scope with new gas. The only one I have readily available is Methane but now the scope is stuck about halfway in and getting a might uncomfortable!

Adjusting Parallax On A Fixed Parallax Scope

I wish I had known about this 40 years ago. There is a thread over on Rimfire Central that has some additional info and suggestions on methods and tools. My favorite one was a repurposed butter knife cut shorter and ground to fit the spanner slots on the objective lens ring.

Some members over there were successful in reducing the close focus distance on AO and side focus scopes as well, but they would lose the ability to focus at longer distances. Of course, you can always return it to the original setting, just not without removing the locking ring again and adjusting it with the spanner tool.
