When a for sale ad is posted in the open forums rather than the classified section and gets flagged, why would you ignore it for hours as mods and administrator logged in and out and eventually only lock the thread leaving it in place? As long as it's visible people can still use it to buy the gun outside the classified section. I will give you my take on it. While " let the new P-15 go to anyone looking for a P-15. I'll put the details in a classified ad...". states intention to offer it for sale in the correct forum, it does not violate forum rules.

On the other hand, the member that proffered $300.00 for the gun DOES violate the forum rules by posting a WTB ad outside of the classified section.

Furthermore, publicly addressing forum decisions violates another rule.

Encouraging other members to ignore the rules further violates the standing rules.

At this point, If I were you, I would do an Elsa and "let it go". You are -3 on this scoreboard.

Well Mr Jim you seem to have stopped short on your investigation.
1- He never listed it in classifieds.
2- I flagged it and watched several people who deal with that come and go without changing anything so...
3- I felt like the thread was a scam and I fished it to see.
You see it from your point of view and I see it from mine. I've never been afraid to ask questions of anyone on this planet when I'm curious. I'm one of those weirdos who talks to strangers like I've known them my whole life. That's who I am and I'm not the least bit ashamed of it.
I understand that I'm in Michael's house and he's free to show me to the door at any time. I try to help where I can so I'd like to understand the process. Now we have a little more insight on how each other's mind works.

I agree with heavy-impact. I have seen these kinds of posts addressed by moderators before. If you have something to sell, post it in the classifieds for sale-if you are qualified to do so. Cluttering up the forum with these baiting, posts should not be allowed.

I truly think the moderators do a good job, even though they have flagged a few times. But with that said I think
They can be a little over board at times also.
