Advice 1st PCP

Just a little over 1200 but well worth the money for all the features and accuracy and easy of useage out of the box!

Daystate Revere is a fine rifle. The unregulated are on sale on AOA. I have one in .177 and had one in .22. Plenty of shots per fill and very accurate. Beautiful and lightweight as well. Don't be afraid of the unregulated ones. AOA also has a great deal on BSA R-10s for $899. Oh, and I also recommend Crickets too. Watch the classifieds.

Not to mention you can drop a Huma reg in down the road for fairly cheap

Is that a hard process to install?

I can't speak specifically for the Daystates Revere, but the multiple Humas I've installed in various guns have all be easy as long as you have minor mechanical aptitude. Some regs require you to drill a hole in the air tube, so make sure you see if the Revere model needs that and decide if that's something you're willing to do

As a fellow Lefty we are limited right of the gate, i do not understand why some manufacturers still insist on losing business due to right hand only versions of guns..
I personally do not care where the damn cocking handle is left or right, but to purposely cut half the stock off is just dumb..

sorry about the mini rant.

As for your choice of gun we need to narrow the field a bit more, since your past experience is in springers i would assume you are not familiar with a bull pup?

The pup's are a different animal, no better or worse IMO, just a different shooting experience than a "long gun"

so 1st decision is pup or long gun

Next up is hunter, target, or combination gun, this will help us suggesting power

Do you want a gun that is very low maintenance with little to no adjustability, or do want to go nuts with a full tilt adjustable gun ? More knobs, more ways to get yourself out in left field .

Lastly i see you are looking at the used market, be Super Careful here amigo, more often than not a used gun has been abused, screwed up, over adjusted, over powered, you get the idea...
am NOT saying that all used are bad, just buy from reputable Individuals, and make damn sure to have a phone conversation with the seller before buying, you can get a pretty good feel for the seller this way.

Look at the seller's previous post history, social media, etc, you would be surprised to see the same guy pissing and moaning about what a turd a gun is because he screwed it up, then have the sack to list it for sale...

Also do Not believe the retailers that say they do so called inspections or go through the gun , horse hocky in most cases this " process" entails a visual inspection, and maybe a signature on some piece of paper or target and some 5 shot so called chrony read out slip...
Again Not saying all retailers but in my experience Most...

I will end by saying i am Not trying to be negative, even though is seems that way, i am simply giving my past experiences in an effort to save you the grief and tremendous disappointment of a bad experience, 1200.00 is a LOT of money and you should be happy with your new gun, not end up with someone else's nightmare....

Good Luck to You !

I will recommend you consider a SPA P35 (or a P15 or a Stoeger Bullshark) as I always do on these questions. I have 3 and they are my favorites. I also shoot left handed. I was about to buy a FX Crown when I saw the P35 and knew I wanted to try one. I got the 25 first and like it so well I bought the 177 and 22. All needed the trigger adjusted and I've polished all the crowns and done a hair curler mod or put in an in shroud moderator to quiet them down. I also needed another inch for length of pull so I made spacers. I adjusted the regulator on the 25 to turn it down a bit. They are short, under 30 inches long, and light, a little over 5 lbs for the P35 or Stoeger and under 5 lbs for the P15. I got a range of accuracies with my 22 shooting 30 yard challenge scores up there with more expansive guns and the 177 shooting respectible scores. The 25 is not that accurate but has given me plenty of 1/4 inch 3 shot groups at 25 yards - I consider it accurate. Despite their light weight they seem to be robustly made. They are a little under $500.

Have had springers for years but finally jumping into the pcp realm. Looking at used and $1200 max. I'm leaning towards 25 or 22 cal for 50 yard bench as well as occasionally in the field. Thinking BSA r10 or similar? Fx dream line possibly. I need something left hand friendly. Any suggestions?
Well definitely the Classified here is your best friend, never seen such a rich envinroment like the AirgunNation classified.....there's just about all the flavors you need 😉

This is great information. I had never even heard of this model before. I'm going to really do some homework and starting to think I should get my optic and all the other stuff that I need before getting the rifle.

Here is a helluva deal for ya.
Great gun to start out with
