Advice 1st PCP

Why? What's so great about this deal? I'm not being a smartass but just curious. The scope is pretty low quality and aren't marauders second rate compared to Daystate and the like?
Mrods are older sure, but they are still a staple model. The retail price for the air tank and Mrod alone are way more than the listing asking price.

As a fellow Lefty we are limited right of the gate, i do not understand why some manufacturers still insist on losing business due to right hand only versions of guns..
I personally do not care where the damn cocking handle is left or right, but to purposely cut half the stock off is just dumb..

sorry about the mini rant.

As for your choice of gun we need to narrow the field a bit more, since your past experience is in springers i would assume you are not familiar with a bull pup?

The pup's are a different animal, no better or worse IMO, just a different shooting experience than a "long gun"

so 1st decision is pup or long gun

Next up is hunter, target, or combination gun, this will help us suggesting power

Do you want a gun that is very low maintenance with little to no adjustability, or do want to go nuts with a full tilt adjustable gun ? More knobs, more ways to get yourself out in left field .

Lastly i see you are looking at the used market, be Super Careful here amigo, more often than not a used gun has been abused, screwed up, over adjusted, over powered, you get the idea...
am NOT saying that all used are bad, just buy from reputable Individuals, and make damn sure to have a phone conversation with the seller before buying, you can get a pretty good feel for the seller this way.

Look at the seller's previous post history, social media, etc, you would be surprised to see the same guy pissing and moaning about what a turd a gun is because he screwed it up, then have the sack to list it for sale...

Also do Not believe the retailers that say they do so called inspections or go through the gun , horse hocky in most cases this " process" entails a visual inspection, and maybe a signature on some piece of paper or target and some 5 shot so called chrony read out slip...
Again Not saying all retailers but in my experience Most...

I will end by saying i am Not trying to be negative, even though is seems that way, i am simply giving my past experiences in an effort to save you the grief and tremendous disappointment of a bad experience, 1200.00 is a LOT of money and you should be happy with your new gun, not end up with someone else's nightmare....

Good Luck to You !
This was all very helpful. I have already had a bad experience a month back with a scammer on airgun warrior but fortunately my cc company had my back. I'm being much more cautious this time and found all the information you provided relevant.

Op, not busting balls here but you will have a Very hard time finding a Daystate left hand friendly in your budget
The Hunsman/Revere line is right handed, left hand is available at a steep increase
Wolverines, Redwolf, even a used older Airwolf are over budget .

Maybe look into the Brocock guns, since they are basically a Daystate in disguise?

As i posted earlier more information from you would help us that are trying to help you....✌️

Not sure what other information is important here. I want something accurate but powerful enough do also do some hunting. 22 or 25 cal. I did have someone reach out to me about a left hand huntsman but I'm not sure if it's regulated as I really think that will be important for me. I plan on doing a good amount of backyard 50 yards bench shooting and on occasion would like to pest control or field hunt. I found a rti priest for $850 I'm highly considering and another member has a like new maverick for 1k but I'm not going to be hasty. I want the right fit. The maverick sounds cool but thinking it's a lot of tuning in to get right?

Just a heads up, you will NOT be able to shoot a Maverick as a lefty.

One of my buddies has one and i cannot even get line of sight through the scope due to the Mag jamming me in the jaw, and orbital socket...
I know some have said try the smaller capacity mag, sorry it's still damned uncomfortable if not impossible...

I dont own one myself, but from what I gather the Maverick/Impact etc are pretty easy to setup. First reg ~170-180Bar, second reg ~30Bar lower, then adjust your velocity with the hammer spring wheel.

Oh damn, I heard mixed messages about that but sounds like a real issue!

Having just picked up my 1st BSA, an ultra JSR 22, I vote for BSA lol. I'm definitely getting more of them. You can switch the bolt to either side, and its left hand loaded mags too.

Lightweight, accurate, and just plain smooth action. Definitely different than alot of the guns out there.

A huntsman revere and dreamline are also on my list so you wouldn't be going wrong with any of those options.

Umarex Origin! I paid $300 but a friend found an eBay listing for $217 refurbished:
Not saying it's a "bad" gun but I didn't love the plastic feel of it when I shot it. Just a different beast compared to my Diana springer.

I have tried a few plastic/synthetic guns in my time and just can't do it. No matter how nice the action is or feels/performs, it just looks like a cheap toy in a synthetic stock.

The bottle alone sells for $400, the rifle $500-ish, then you have some accessories.

Sure, Mrods aren't Daystates, but they sell for 1/2 to 1/4 the price. Mrods are a good bit nicer than the Air Venturi/Umarex offerings in the $200-$400 range. Plus parts support and customizability is second to none.

Frosty, that seems like a fair assessment.
If you’re willing to drop 1250 for the gun do that.
But know you’ll put at least that much (and more) into a compressor and tank with accessories before the first target gets hit.

That was an amazing message. Thank you!

I sell a lot of airguns to mostly beginners as their first air rifle, usually horse ranchers in the Descanso, CA area east of San Diego. I buy used, change out all the o-rings, polish the barrel, tune the gun and test for accuracy, install a scope, find a used SCBA tank and fill rig, soup to nuts.
My favorite guns to look for are used .22 FX Streamline, .22 FX Wildcat, .22 Daystate Renegade or Huntsman, and .22 Cricket Bull Pup or Carbine. Mostly tune to shoot JSB 18.1 at about 880 fps, and everyone I've sold can put a five-shot group inside a dime at 50 yards. These guns are super reliable, easy to shoot, easy to maintain, and very accurate. Since 2019 when I started selling used guns, I've sold about 30-ish, and all have been very reliable.
If I had to list two, I would say the .22 Daystate Renegade or the .22 FX Streamline. IMHO.
