Looking for some good advice on a good solid portable shooting table. Thanks in advance.

We use Caldwell folding benches at our club for our indoor 50’ matches. They are certainly not what I would call solid by any stretch. They are disappointing after shooting on concrete benches.

I purchased a foldable welding table to shoot and work off of. It's a bit heavy, but sturdy

I use one of these occasionally when I pest for ground squirrels, plus this collapsible stool. Both light with a carry handle and height adjustable.

Follow the link on post #8. I followed his idea and works fantastic. Make a quality top for it and you will have a solid portable bench for less then those flimsy plastic ones sold as a bench.

I glued and screwed 2 pieces of scrap 5/8 plywood I had laying around. I used a 2x6 as a backbone and painted it with some deck paint I had.

I have the Caldwell Stable Table. It is normally $249 but Cabala's had a sale but the sale, $99, was actually on the cheaper table, not the one I got. I had already loaded it into my cart when I realized the mistake and that the sign was incorrect. I flagged one of the clerks who turned out to be the store manager and told him the mistake and he agreed it was wrong. So, then I asked him how much the table was I had in my cart and he said, for you it is $99. He walked me through checkout and adjusted the price!
I can move it easily where I need, sometimes I have taken it in my truck to my neighbors farm to shoot. It is a great product. No, it is not as stable as a concrete bench or even a heavy lumber table but it is completely adequate and then some for everything from .458 Win Mag to M-Rods and Urbans. And it is portable, heavy lumbar and concrete are not. Set up here for my backyard range which runs out to 100 yards. I have had for about four years now.
My tripod is even more portable. The head came from Amazon, about $40, and the tripod is an unused photo tripod.

I have a fairly heavy Tripod (Coman KX3636) and Arca plates on rifles with bottom Picatinny or Clamps with Arca plates for those without.
The Tripod has a nice carry bag and I can toss it, a 3L, 6.8L or 9L tank in my big back pack and away I go.
Tripods also don't care about uneven ground.

I can carry 2 to 4 rifles (depends on case), tripod, air tank, pellets, eye wear, ear wear and critical tools all at the same time.
Everything but the rifles in the back pack, get a crane to lift it, put it on, grab the rifle case(s) and away ya go.
I like making one trip with all my *stuff*
I just upgraded to a bigger back pack so I can carry the 9L bottle (not that I ever have)
It is YUGE!
