Advice on scope for fx Crown mark 2.

For $500, Id recommend a Crimson Trace series 3, 5-25x56. You'll have to find one used or new old stock. Try looking on Ebay, you can find them in the $500-$600 range. It checks all your airgun boxes. It's FFP, side focus, Parallax Adjustment 10 yards, they have large turrets and click great, lighted Reticle. The glass in Japanese and as good as any $1500 scope.

Hawke and Element (6-24) are two of my favorites. I wouldn't put a lot of faith in a firearm site rating. Air gun requirements are usually different (lower parallax and reinforced from reticule-springers.
Douth, I am going with cmatera. Hawke and Element are good scopes for the money. Any one of the Element Helix scopes would be a good choice, but make sure you do your homework on the focal planes and reticles. The Hawke Airmax or Sidewinder will probably be a good grab for you at the right prices. The turrets on my 6.5-20x44 Sidewinder are a tad mushy, but it's okay for this money (to me). Members sell these scopes on the forum frequently, and there are a few Hawkes available right now on the Classifieds.

And the Athlon Helos and M-TAC are so well spoken of. Lots of members love them. Any one of these five lines are nice scopes.

For the record, I was just comparing my Hawke Vantage AO 3-12x44 with my Helix 4-16x44 (First Focal Plane) and my Hawke 6.5-20x44. The latter two are clearly brighter and a bit crisper than the Vantage and simply yield a better overall experience, along with some of the extra magnification that you want. And most of these scopes parallax down to 10 yards, while the the Helix 4-16x44 goes down to 15 yards. If you want the most magnification, go with an Athlon or Helix that goes to 24x, but do know you may lose a bit of FoV and gain a bit of weight. And I am not contradicting other posters here, but simply speaking from my limited experience, but also from my broader reading and viewing knowledge. S7

I put an Arken Optics EPL4 on my Crown. Like it a lot. The Crown shoots one hole consistently if you do your part, so the best glass you can afford within your budget is justified. The Arken has high quality Japanese glass but is still just a $400 scope. Good value.

I own several Arken SH4s, Sightron S-Tacs, Athlon Midas-Tacs. All nice scopes, but my Crown MKII laminate has the Midas Tac on it. It has the best glass and reticle of the three (not by much though). My Crown Saber has a Sightron SIII 10-50 in .22 cal that I use for 100 yard EBR shooting. The SH4 has a 34 MM tube, is heavy and only focuses to 25 yards. It is a great scope but I would buy the EP4 with the 30MM tube and it focuses to 10 yards. Lotsa good choices.

Orangeokie,
I copy on the Arkens. Is your Crown a Mark II? Also, what distances are you talking about when mentioning one-hole groups?
Thanks. S7
Yes, MK II Continuum. 15 yards (backyard range) is the one-hole group. I have just started shooting it after fixing a leaky gauge. I have since removed those offset rings and put on a set of FX No Limit rings

Thanks. I have not been behind my Continuum much, but it was doing just about one-hole groups at 25 yards. I have not tinkered with it, either. S7
