Advice sought on an entry level 10M air pistol

I have a couple of friends looking to try 10M air pistol in our local league, Unfortunately, although I've been shooting 10M air pistol a LONG time, I haven't stayed current on what model air pistols are available/ good for someone getting started.
It used to be any Daisy 717/747/777, Gamo Compact or IZH46 would get you into the sport without breaking the bank.
These days I see all three of those models are discontinued and commanding ridiculous $ when I do see one on the used market.
So far what I am seeing (in my initial search) is the Air Ventury V10 and Crossman 2300S as potentials. ( Either benefiting from a trigger job of course)
Any experience/ advice on these or other suitable options in the $200-500 range appreciated.
Thanks!

This got me started down the pcp pistol rabbit hole. Put a Williams rear sight on it and have fun. Fifty shots per fill and really likes the RWS Green Basics wadcutters. I put some nice grips on mine and use it as my basement shooter. Oh, great trigger out of the box also.

the Snowpeak PP20 could be an option it is being slod as the Air Venturi Comp 10 Match these were available in Canada for far less but long gone
they look the look and are at a price that can be reached

of course many will say get a FWB 65-80-90 or a Model 10 Diana but i think instead of going back to look for something new
it is an idea

CMP suggests this pistol:

I have no experience with that pistol though but they generally recommend accurate and reliable products to get competitors started on the right path of their journey.

There is kind of a hole is the low to mid priced 10M pistols. Really not much to choose from and you get mixed reviews on what’s available. Here is what Krale currently has available. Quite a bit more than the Daisy or the Crosman.

The Snowpeak looks nice. I wonder how reliable they are?

Second that. Or a second hand Rohm Twinmaster top. They are no powerhouses, but durable 10 m pistols.
They don't need to be powerhouses. I started competition years ago with a Daisy 717 which shoots in the upper 300 fps velocity. It was accurate and could shoot better than I could. My Steyr shoots around 520 fps and is probably faster than all the other guns I've had including FWB 80, Daisy 777, Walther CP3. Even the latest Steyr and Morinis shoot in the same power level. This is where you put aside the power thoughts and work on the marksmanship.

Sub 50usd for anyone just try getting a feeling about air gun shooting but still have that high bar for accuracy out of every penny you pay p17 definitely has highest CP value. For 200-500, Air Venturi v10, is also good and readily available or even on occasion sales. Another slightly more pricey but worthy choice will be Beeman p1/p2/P3 , especially p2 one of most popular ssp. Other choices can be izh46m, fas 6004. I can't much about other choices, as I don't own and shoot them yet.
