Kpac has been giving some incorrect advice about the transformer, you seem to have an idea for a workaround though.
The three lobe connector is called a NEMA C5, I need to see pictures of all of the ports on the transformer and I can probably send you an link to a cable that will work.
The yellow connection is DC only, an XT60 connector. It's the most common connector I see in RC and other high current battery systems, like drones.
The battery connector on the back is interesting, but any battery isn't going to take you far. The thing probably draws at least 300 watts, that would drain a 12v, 4Ah tool battery in under 10 minutes. Actually, is there a sticker showing how much power it takes in for AC and DC operation? That would give a little extra insight.
As an aside, I'm desperate to buy your harpoon and joined with that goal in mind. It took me a few days to get account approval, and now I'm in my mandatory ten day waiting period before I can send PMs. If you can figure out a way to communicate an address or something to me, I can snail mail you a money order on Monday.
