AEA 7000psi compressor

Passed by Pellet Shop yesterday to pick up ammo and witnessed the unloading and physical testing of batch #2 of the new to U.S AEA compressor. They test each one before it goes out. Looks real nice and a really small package. Great if you own Huben’s. Very nice digital display. Unfortunately I will stick with my gx cs4 because I can fill my 9 liter tank in one shot without stopping to cool off which the AEA can’t do.
If you don’t have a large tank to fill it seems like an incredible compressor.

If you think about it, unless we would be buying the new Aea 7k guns which I don’t think many of us serious air gunners would be doing anytime soon the machine would be operating below it’s maximum rating. It’s also a 2 stage pump. I do know that it had some issues early on and was held back from coming to the U.S for more than a year before they got here. I would not get it to replace my cs4 but if I didn’t also have a cs3i I would consider it for a backup for direct fill for my guns and take it to the range for my K1 and GK1.
Nothings perfect but it’s a major upgrade over the cs3 and very portable.
If I were to get another stationary house compressor I would get the gx 5k1 or 5k2 depending on my pocket at the time.
Decisions, decisions, decisions.

The question is how long can a compressor survive pumping up to 7000 psi? The GX CS4 seems to be a better value and has a better longevity record than any of the oilless box compressors, let alone one that pumps up to 7K psi.
Yeah... no. My GX CS4 lasted 7 months until the on-board inverter died (DC would work, AC wouldn't). Once I got tech support's attention for a warranty repair, instead of them shipping a new replacement or offering a RMA label to ship it back for repair, they insisted on sending me a new inverter that I'd have to install myself.

I thought I was pretty handy, until I tried to get my sausages in there to fiddle around with wires and harnesses installing the new inverter, and I just gave up.

Not recommended.

When I saw this AEA compressor, I decideed to take the plunge for two reasons:

1 - Bin at AEA/Bintac has provided great support to me in the past with his airguns.
2 - I wanted to squeeze every bit of performance out of my three GK1's, and filling them up to 350bar is a great way to do that.

Waiting on TPS to send it my way... Pretty excited to see the FPE in my GK1's at 350BAR.

Peace,
Mark

Can you share what incline filter you use with the CS4? I noticed that there is some black oil coming out from bleeder tube...really concerned of the quality of the pump.
