AEA Centerpunch 30, 50.5 gr, 950 fps

So, just a survey of my fellow quantitative shooters out there. Labradar 1 data and group size are metrics.

I purchased some AEA pellets and so far, so good. The Center punch 30 cal, 50.5 grain are going out of my RTI P2 at an average of V0=951.4 fps with a ES of 6.78 FPS and SD of 2.45 fps. KE 0 is 102 FtLb. Group size is excellent. Regulator pressure is 170 BAR with just enough spring preload to reliably have the hammer knock the valve open. The AEA pellets "SCHWACK" my 50 m target with 83 FtLb of KE and practically uproot the 22 rimfire spinner. So satisfying!

Any tips? Do you guys see any glaring flaws in my data or results, the correction of which might lead me to even better results? A low reg pressure of 120 BAR restricted V0 (muzzle velocity) to 875 ish fps. The pellets are still accurate at 950 ish V0 and hit harder.

Let me know,

Mike

If your groups don't look like these in 8mph winds, your doing som

If your groups don't look like these in 8mph winds, your doing something wrong. Seems my gun likes them at 967fps.

UA or Pellet Shop. Both have them. Shoot them at their most accurate speed for your gun/barrel. Don't get sucked into the "faster is better" rabbit hole...
Im not sucking nobody, even with 1in40 twist liners the pellets are less accurate that above 950. Done tested ten tins in the past week,in high winds also. The 66 grain can't do above 900fps well for what I've seen. 900ish is best speed for them . Slower twist barrel will stabilize them as a fast twist will not. Totally opposite of my thinking. The pellets I told you about are more accurate that the aea 50 grain which is really good. They do better in the wind. Anyway, keep telling people about a rabbit hole and I'm gonna keep hitting centers in high winds. I put away the 8x80 scope and got me a 4x16 so I can watch the flags thru my scope before I shoot. Good luck next season. You'll need it.

Where did you find the aea 50 gr in stock ? I’ve watched many videos where it seems like the aea cannot be shot too fast. Maintain stability as hard as guys can push them.
My impact will shoot them at 990ish same hole accurate with no wind. When it's windy,I slow them to 935,but 967 is where my guns most accurate with these pellets.. they are not the best for windy days. There's another 50 gr pellet out there that's alot less affected by wind hitting the skirts. The aea pellets are good, but I can't get the 66 grain to shoot under an inch at 100 yards. The 45 and 50 grain have pellets that drop 4 inches for no reason. Shoot enough of them you'll see it.

I've seen a bunch of video of these shooting in 1:16 tests at 1000FPS and look like lasers at 50/100 yards. What twist were you shooting them out of?

Mike

1in26,1in22,1in65,1in18,and 1in40. I have alot of barrels. The faster twist rates the pellets are affected by the wind more than with slower rates. Most accurate probably would be my 1in65 500mm. These liners are custom, saying that a 1in40 should do just fine. When you get above 950fps 2out of ten will drop 4inches from the others ,I'm searching for what causes this. Those inconsistencys will cost you on match day.
