What's up guys I recently lost my fill prob. I ordered another one it will be here in couple days. My question is Can I Leave The Fill Probe In The Rifle while shooting or does it have to be removed after every fill??
Thank YouLeave it in and use it as a QD if you please. There is no valve in it so it does not matter if its in or out when you shoot.
Thank you I'm still waiting on another fill Probe it will stay in the gun for now onYou can leave it in, but I recommend taking the probe out before filling, inserting into your quick release female foster fitting, then turning on your compressor with the air bleed open. Then put the fill whip with probe connected into your gun and slowly close the air bleed screw until you see everything has made a tight connection and pumping as it should.
With the Challenger Pro it's not as much an issue. With my Terminator 30 it had to be done this way. Otherwise the everything would just pop out under pressure because it hadn't had a chance to fully seal. With my Challenger Pro I'm still following this protocol just to be safe, as it's similar enough regarding the fill port placement. Never had an issue with the similar HP SS 30+ or somewhat-similar Challenger 357 in this regard, though.
Regardless, you can leave a fill probe stuck in there if you want. Does it affect shooting off a bag or get banged around? I think a better idea is a side-bag that carries a few of these accessories (probe, allen key, extra mag, some ammo). I'm still trying to find a good solution for this, myself.
