AEA Element

I was interested in the light weight of the AEA Element, so I bought one to see what it was like. This lightness is accomplished by using carbon fiber for some of the guns parts. I have also purchased an adapter from DonnyFL to allow use of a moderator. This gun has internal baffles, but is still not back yard friendly. With this setup, the pressure inside the barrel cover blows the cover off the glued aluminum threads that hold it to the receiver. Has anyone else had this problem and a possible fix?

Maybe I don’t understand how the Donny works. I don’t use a moderator besides what is built in. The factory shroud is just sandwiched between the receiver adapter (it has an oring there and is not glued) and a retainer that screws into the factory moderator.

I have been shooting the Element for a while now after re-gluing carbon fiber shroud and going to a larger diameter Donny. I turned the power down a little bit and it is shooting 25.39's at around 900fps. I am also getting 20 good shots with the standard air tank. This little gun is accurate with multiple projectiles I have tried. In fact the gun is so light it is hard to hold steady and that's even with a large Hawke scope. Not sure what would happen if I went up to the larger tank. I think that would make it weigh 4.5lbs.

I had the same problem first day and first pellet out the gun, have not took another shot yet except a No Pellet Shot to see if it would happen without a pellet in the chamber & all seemed OK. I been looking to see if it was glued onto the end cap with threads or not because its a very tight fit when i pushed it back on. Did you notify the place you bought it and did they offer a repair or trade? I also having a hard time locating a spare Magazine or Barrel Shroud, seems everywhere i search they are sold out. Keep us posted K.
