Tuning AEA Fill Probe Won't fit in Stikman QD ?

Good morning ,... I have an AEA Element .22 , also a Yong Heng compressor with proper Tuxing filter and QUICK DISCONNECT (Brass).

Question is ... Just received my Stikman Fill Station for my SCBA Tank , it screws right on the tank , no issues but the FILL PROBE WON'T FIT in the Supplied QD , the probe is 8mm in dia and the Supplied QD inside dia measured 7.94mm ! The QD fitting on the Compressor fit fine , the male to male from Stikman to fill the tank fits fine , no issues. WTF !!

ive run into alot of that with cheap chinese connectors .. best solution is to chuck the male in a drill before use and pinch a piece of 600 grit on it and work it over for a minute .. works every time .. if its not loose and you got to do it by hand its alittle more pita but still dooable .. might take 10 minutes ...

It's like dizzums said these are cheap Chinese junk. You can even buy them from the same seller and get male and female fittings that don't fit together. I have a few. I only buy the Ninja brand, USA made last I heard, these days as and they always fit together.

I made an adapter of sorts out of my junk parts that don't fit together. It simply fits between another set of male female QR foster parts, that don't fit together, to make them fit together. Seems like a waste of $20 or $30 but it does werq.

Thats cool , I get the assortment of different QD’s but the fill probe is IMO the issue … im thinking its a design issue that SHOULD be addressed , as it has the male QD INCORPORATED into the fill probe with NO threads … sorta forces one to use the 8mm ID QD which isn’t really that great of quality

My Stickboy is the same way, a bit snug. I did as suggested and just took a bit of girth off the male fitting. I was also a bit frustrated, but easily remedied. I also feel that the premium you pay for this set-up, tolerances should be better.

Scotty1… i agree 100% … its not like i can’t modify or fix the problem, i have a mill / lathe , more so it shouldn’t be a problem. When ya pay almost $1k for a gun & scope , $400 for a compressor , $200 for filters , then $150 for a fill station after $300 plus for a carbon tank, its pretty disappointing that these companies can’t get things the same , or at least be aware of the issues and KNOW and PROVIDE the correct fittings for the customer
