AEA hp 30 max issue!?

So first, my gauge went out on me it was telling me the gun was empty while I was shooting .30 at over 900fps then the a couple days later it started getting incredibly loud not at the muzzle which was suppressed with a ronin, but right by my ear to the point i can not shoot it without my ear ringing for a good while after. Any thoughts ? The gun was only about a month or so old at the time and probably had maybe 200 rounds through it. Any feedback would be appreciated. I have made no mechanical adjustments and nothing has been taken apart before or after this issue.

If you overtighten the gauge it will not give a correct reading.

As for the air coming out of the barrel, I would try cocking it with the gun pointed upwards, then fire it while empty and try filling then. You may need to do this twice, or try filling it when cocked. It's just something you have to do sometimes if the gun is completely empty of air.

Also keep the pellet probe lubed with silicone and that o-ring won't keep popping out on you.
Check the breech seal. Mine gets louder when it goes missing. Are you getting excessive blow back?
Thanks. Looks like you're right, smh. Weird thing is the fps didn't seem like it was effected, but i only fired a few shots like this. Now the getting it back in part. This allen just in front and above the breech is how you remove the barrel and get that seal back in there ?

I dont remove the barrel. I stick a cleaning rod through the muzzel down to where the breech seal goes and then push seal in through breech and push the seal into position with a small allen wrench. My barrels are locked from turning with the large set screw on top of breech but the barrel screws in. There is a lock nut in front of breech that snugs barrel to breech.

If my gauge is too tight it fails to allow air into gauge. You may want to check that .

Good idea with the cleaning rod popped it right in first try. Saved me from going mental and chucking this thing in the bushes. You're probably right about the gauge. When I first got the gun the gauge was loose and caused a leak so I may have tightened it up too much. Thanks for the help. Can't believe it was something this simple thought I had a bigger issue.

Ok, so when I went to work on the breech seal and check my gauge issue yesterday I degassed the gun and now upon refilling it the air is going in and coming straight out the barrel? Could I have messed up a seal when I degassed it?

I was that guy, not long ago. Heck, I still am! I'm learning something new every day. That's what is great about it!
Haha. Yeah I've only been shooting pcps on and off for about a year and some change and haven't really had to do much in terms of working on them. Everything I've learned has been from you guys on here and youtube. Great community with some smart helpful people.
