I have the backpacker in 25 cal ,looks like the only difference is the carbon fiber bottle and a included moderator, I swapped the stock for a magpull CTR ,much better than the factory wobbleler , also polished the trigger and sear to get it down to 3.8 lb ,loving it so far

Having been smitten with the performance of my (32" barreled) .30 AEA Challenger bullpup after quite a lot of simple, basic, shade-tree airgunsmithing, I've been circling some other AEA models like a buzzard circling a dying bobcat. The HP SS model certainly piques my interest, but the wobbly folding-stock feature and concerns about performance, dependability, accuracy and trigger have kept me from landing. Some of those concerns have been addressed in this thread; perhaps more will be addressed as the thread develops.

FWIW, I've probably shot more 100 yard bench-rest airgun groups than anyone on Earth; and my most recent accuracy testing session with the .30 EA Challenger bullpup (last week) produced the best 100 yard airgun average accuracy I've ever achieved (also one of the best single five-shot groups I've gotten). Understand the many, MANY-hundred groups shot include such top-tier air rifles as THE BEST from Daystate, Air Arms, FX, AGT, Kalibrgun, Shiin Sun, Eun Jin, and others.

The 1.06" AVERAGE group-size pictured below is just .02" (2 one-hundredths inch) short of my many-years goal of achieving one minute-of-angle at 100 yards average accuracy with an airgun. DOH!!! 

Perhaps next time I sell one of my high-dollar, regulated PCP divas I'll use (a fraction of) the proceeds to reinvest in another AEA.

Those AEA Bullpups are hellhounds for sure. The Challenger in .30 takes the cake. 



I have recieved updated magazines for the HP SS 30 and full mag dump with NSA 57 grain slugs. No jams at all

I do not need a semiautos Pelletgun , I do not need a 30 Caliber pellet gun,,, Got a AEA hp 30 caliber on order,,, What the hell, 

I am impressed reading some of you guys test with this beast I got some 30 caliber Hades pellets on back order from Pymard air ,,, Its really gonna suck if I get the gun before the pellets.

If you need pellets now, try the Hatsan Strikes, they shoot just as well as the JSBs with the HP SS, and hit just a bit harder.

Just picked one up from AEA Northeast - Came with CNC'd adj buttstock .. Fit and finish is very nice.. Now we will see how it runs semi-auto and long term durability.. I have to say the thing is built like a tank...

I also got the .30+. I got the new mags and all is well. Ended up putting a red dot on it and am having a blast shooting it. It sure eats a lot of lead fast!.

Hi SS Plus owners, I'm curious about your thoughts/feelings after a long(ish) term relationship with one these badass looking guns. I'm considering ordering one from Spain, definitely in .30 Cal, with or without folding stock (not sure about that).

Hi all

i have a AEA .30 carbine and was wondering if any of you aea owners have looked at your barrel rifling. Is it cut like a LW barrel or like a smooth twist form FX. Why I ask is I looked at mine after cleaning and I could barely see any lands or grooves in the barrel. Just trying to figure out if I need to send the carbine back for replacement.

I received my AEA .30 .caliber assassin about a week ago, I got her all dressed up but I'm still waiting on pellets.

These are fun compact guns. I started out with a red dot, then bugbuster but moved on to a 4-16×44 that I'd actually bought for another gun but never got around to putting it on. Have had no problems with the magazines gun cycles as it should.

Standard Custom 25 cal I hated the 24” barrel so I cut it down to 13 3/4” Threaded it 1/2x20 cut an 11 degree crown. Add the Donnyfl Koi I love the look without the shroud

Update on the cut down barrel too much flex in the barrel hurt the accuracy so I made a shroud with 3/4” aluminum tubing and rubber grommets. It shot Hades inconsistently so I tried JSB Heavies 33.95 and this is my results at 25 yards definitely benefited by making it more rigid

Very nice. I wonder if the charging handle on the hp ss is the same size threads as the terminator. I want a larger one for my terminator
