The Huma reg definitely dropped the power on my HP carbine 22 cal and it still had some feeding issues no matter where I set the regulator. A larger plenum would help with power.. however, I got worn out on tweaking this Semiauto to function for just a few mags of good operation but always has so so accuracy.. about 1” at 30 yds, so I simply removed the semi cocking function and use it as a bolt action. That bottle reg is pretty cool. And at a decent price.
Only issue I see is that it doesn’t afford much plenum space which can drop the max power significantly.

This design is not going to function long term as is. If you disassemble and look for unequal wear especially where the hammer guide rod fits into the aluminum receiver just above the pin poppet valve you will find the hole where the rod fits into is oval shaped because of this design. If the high wear areas were all sleeved with high speed quality steel this semi auto design would be much better. IMO
I’m very picky and expect my air guns to be dialed in to be near single hole shooters at 25 yds~30yds. This one is not cutting it so far. Using it in bolt action mode it’s better but still so so accurate about 1” @ 25 yds and of course defeats the reason I bought it.
My regulated AEA Challengers (.22 and .357) were both able to be dissembled, cleaned up and dialed in and are now very accurate. The Challenger design is basic, EZ to work on and very Straight Forward and worth the 400 bucks.
My 2 cents
