Im thinking about getting a aea s45 and wanted to know any known issues with this gun? Are they reliable?

Aea S45 reliability question

Magazines design is trash, I’ve had feed problems even with Mr Hollowpoint ammo. Bolt isn’t in line with magazine so it nicks it every time you fire causing the acrylic to crack. The triggger doesn’t fully come forward after pulling it requiring it be manually pushed forward, simply moving it around gently will unscrew and unseat various bolts and components and every time I fill it I feel like it is going to explode…
I got into this hobby with the allure of amazingly powerful, high fpe AEA and Bin Tac PCPs. I’ve learned a lot already and matured in my understanding of the hobby. It’s all about anccuracy. Think Israel Adesanya fighting style, “they might have power, but I have precision”. The only saving grace is Bin and Jason have some of the best customer support you could imagine

If you really want a semi auto my reflexive thought is a Huben, they’re only a little more expensive then an s45 and everyone seems to love them.

Way too expensive to have feeding and jamming issues. Just go over to YouTube and the problems are plentiful. I cannot imagine paying that high of a price for a China gun anyway.

If you ARE a newbie, don't be impatient & do more research. There are, most likely, guns out there you'd be happier with in the long run. What, exactly, will you be trying to accomplish with said gun? Knowing your intentions would get you better & more relevant info.

Bought the s45 and after 12 rounds of certified ammo it started leaking at the barrel. Bin was easy to reach and informed me the valve pin gasket was bad. Bin sent me the part for free. My .58 element max blew through 40 rounds without a problem so I'm hoping the s45 will do the same after repair.
