AEA AEA SF .30 another "talk me out of"

I would go with a 30. I am in the process of trying to convert one of my AEA HP's from 25 to 30. Have a 30 CAL Terminator and it rocks. Something about the big pellet that is very satisfying when you hit something with it. Problems with the AEA's are easily fixed. The power you get from these semi-auto guns is outstanding and accuracy is very good. Triggers are easily lightened by smoothing up contact surfaces and changing a couple springs. I would really like to find a 30 cal barrel for an HP.

That's awesome! I used to have a .25 assasin and it was a great shooter for a semi auto at the time. That is, when it would cycle the shots correctly. Little too late when I found out about a year or two after I sold it that you could fix the cycling issue by cover 2 or 3 of the holes in the shroud dampener which you got either use over sized slugs to plug or .22 casings.

I've got 5 of the 8 holes plugged with .22 casings, an inline regulator and plenum.

She shoots as fast as you can pull the trigger and she loves CPHP'S!

Firewalker, can you help me understand what a poppet is and how you fixed it?

Yupper, it is the "valve" we are always talking about, the gun retains the valve seat. The stem of the poppet valve gets hit by the hammer, unseats the poppet and air passes, the air slams it shut assisted by the return spring.

Most of the poppets I've seen are made from Nylon or Delrin, they are softer than peek, it's a very hard plastic.

Shown is an original AEA HP poppet and the peek replacement im working on.
