AEA AEA Shotgun Pistol (Double Barrel) Video Review

Another mind boggling accurate gun from AEA. This double barrel Harpoon Shotgun Pistol will deliver .45 or .50 cal slugs downrange exactly where you point it, even with 8 inch barrels! This PCP, with the "no tank" self contained ammo is really something special! Don't miss this unique airgun. All I can say about PCP's that shoot this ammo...more please! Thanks for watching! -Nate

I have the .72 with the smoothbore long barrels for bunny hunting. Kind of a companion for my .50 Wingshot and Doubleshot. I had so much fun with it that I bought the .45 rifled long barrels and .50 rifled short barrels Too. At 50 yards off sandbags with the .45 I can keep both shots in a paper plate. Not rifle accurate and not with deer hunting power. But I think it will be fun turkey hunting with it. What I really like is I can shoot all my cast .45 slugs in the .45 barrels, my .50 3D printed shot in the .50 and .72 barrels and my 12 ga shot in the .72 barrels. You can mix barrels with shot in one or slugs in the other. You can shoot the left barrel or both barrels at once. But you cant choose just the right barrel. And after the first shot, you cant put the safety back on.

This is a really innovative gun with very impressive performance, but I have some serious doubts about its safety. It appears to me that these self contained cartridges are essentially airguns in themselves and that if the burst disc were to somehow be pierced unintentionally or failed that it would result in an accidental discharge. Is there some safety feature that I’m overlooking that would prevent this?

Not really! The only way to put the safty back on after firing the first shot is to recock it. Then put the safty on and before shooting the second barrel you need to dryfire the first one. I dont load the charged cylinders with shot or slug until I load the gun. No, I dont feel safe carring the charged cylinders in my pockets. They are in a heavy leather possablies bag.

That was the kind of handling that I was envisioning should I get one. Maybe keep the charged cylinders in abs tubes or something to protect them. A 5000 psi cylinder with a projectile trapped in front of it isn’t something I’d want to carry around loose in my pocket.

Wouldn't an abs tube turn it into a barrel, guiding the projectile, or worse, shrapnel?
