Hey Everyone,
The below is something I REALLY wish I had when I began this endeavor, so I made one for you guys. It's a step-by-step on how to easily adjust the dual regulators in the new Maverick and it leaves no steps out, making following the process easy. While it looks complicated and cumbersome, it's actually fun, fast, and easy in person. I'll demo this in full in the upcoming Vlog.
Best,
Steve
FX Maverik AEAC Dual Regulator Adjustment Sequence
Note:
* Always set the forward most regulator's pressure higher than the rear most requlator's pressure.
* A 30-40 bar setting between regs is ideal with 25 & 50 bar being the two extremes.
* A 25 bar differential will be refill ready for the next shot in about 2.5 seconds.
* A 30-40 bar differential will decrease this refill-ready time.
* Rear most regulator pressures (like 70-80 bar) are an ideal place to begin for high power & shot count in .25 cal.
* Rear most regulator pressures (like 120-130 bar) are ideal for max power in .25 cal.
* The above regulator ideal ranges apply to 500, 600 & 700mm barrels.
* Keep the bottle threads and seal interface lubed throughout all of the on/off with it.
* To decrease regulator pressure, the gun needs to be completely depressurized.
1) Unscrew & remove external air bottle completely and set aside.
2) Open up (counterclockwise) the rear most regulator adjuster to flush only, NEVER past.
3) Reduce external HS adjuster to position 1 and dry fire ONLY until regs BEGIN to dump.
4) Allow a moment for all of the air to drain from the gun.
5) Gently close (clockwise) forward most regulator until it lightly seats, then open (counterclockwise) 3/4 turn.
6) Reinstall external air bottle.
7) Refill bottle to MAX bar because much of it has just dumped into the 89cc Power Plenum.
8) Slowly open up forward most regulator (counterclockwise) to desired pressure, observing at rear most pressure gauge.
9) Dry fire 5 times to help seat the forward regulator.
10) Remove external air bottle completely and set aside.
11) Lower external HS adjuster to position 1 and dry fire ONLY until regs BEGIN to dump.
12) Allow a moment for all of the air to drain from the gun.
13) Gently close (clockwise) rear most regulator until it lightly seats, then open (counterclockwise) 3/4 turn.
14) Reinstall external air bottle.
15) Refill bottle to MAX bar because much of it has just dumped into the 89cc Power Plenum.
16) Slowly open up rear regulator (counterclockwise) to desired pressure, observing at rear most pressure gauge.
17) Dry fire 5 times to help seat the rear regulator.
18) Lead fire your newly acquired dual reg setting 5 times to fully seat the rear regulator.
… here's a little bit of the fun one can have.
