Love mine . Got it primarily to bag some squirrels while in the deer woods with the Texan SS . Already whacked two with it and it worked fantastic with 18grn JSB . Since those pics I lowered the sight .200 using a slightly modified S&W M&P mount which helped alot with aquiring the dot faster .

Are the grips interchangeable with standard 1911 pistol grips?

The grips and the grip angle look like the M1911.

The grip angle of the ap16 is slightly less than the 1911 but grips will bolt on but I would recomend using some small orings around the screws to keep them centered as the holes in the 1911 grips will be oversized since the ap16 doesn't have the grip screw bushings like the 1911 . I have used two different wrap around style 1911 grips on the AP without any issues .
