Hubertus, a lot people on this site appear to be "test-drivers" and don't want to work on their guns in fear of their warranty and later re-sale value. That's fine but it never speaks to any of these guns real potential. The level to which this gun is shipped at is fine by me because it keeps the price down and those that want to can mod it and refine it at a fraction of the cost. Steve only discusses what is, not what might be. He could not possibly take the time, with each gun, to fix everything. I see these reviews as purely an introduction and not the final word an anything and they are great for that. My shroud was mis-aligned, like Steve's, and I fixed it by shimming with a tiny piece of an aluminum soda can under the setscrew and rotating it. No biggie, anything that slides on and has a setscrew is unlikely to be perfect. I put a spring in my baffle stack and it can't rattle or go go anywhere. Like you know, the trigger is, of course, totally adjustable. I took the assembly apart and checked all bearing surfaces too, though that was probably unnecessary. I set my first stage at 6 ounces and my second stage for 20. I have never broken a glass rod with my trigger finger so I don't know what that is like, but my trigger is pretty good. I had it set safely at a pound but changed it because it doesn't spend much time on a bench or bipod. Anyone can easily do these procedures and they really make this gun shoot. Again, most won't. One thing that is worth mentioning that I love about this gun is that you don't have to remove the action completely from the stock to remove the air tube. I just loosen the stock screws and the two pillar screws and just unscrew the tube from the front. To be fair, the first time it was tight but the way the sealing works it doesn't need to be and I don't lose air. This makes getting to the regulator pretty easy and quick. The only stupid thing on this gun is the 12x1.25 thread pitch on the barrel. Even Hatsan, in metric Turkey, uses standard unf. If SPA is selling the most airguns in the world maybe soon we will all be changing to these metric threads. I don't care either way as long as there is only one standard. Right now there isn't and it can be a major pain....
