Interesting. I wonder if BSA makes it. It’s very possible. I own some very high quality BSAs. I was shocked at how nice its glass was.

​Here is the link to their scope with variable zoom, take the turret caps off and it the very same resettable target style turrets and the same aluminum screw on endcaps.
​They also have the 4x32. Not sure if BSA Optics makes them themselves or if they farm out to another supplier for these entry level air rifle scopes but for what it is it works quite well considering the price.

​I've been eyeing this little Urban Pro rifle up and have considered buying one for some time and I think you might have pushed me over the edge with your review, just wish I could get one without the scope package as I would put my little BSA on it.

Thanks for another great review Steve. I always look forward to your videos. After watching your review of the Rapid Air Weapon HM 1000X in .30 cal and the RAW factory tour, I ordered one for myself. Now my other air rifles are collecting dust. I can't wait till your take on the new RAW .25 high power version. Looks to be a winner for sure. I'll be watching !

I shot a few squirrels with mine. Make sure your placement is perfect on them. Just a bit low and jaw them, and they run off and starve. I think it’s better suited to rats and skymice (English Sparrows) than squirrels, which are tough little buggers.

Do you think the lower power of this rifle is capable of taking a squirrel with a broadside heart/lung shot or is their hide a little to tough for this level of power... assuming a shot is taken at say 20yrds?

No. Seven fpe is barely enough for humane head shots at ten or fifteen yards on squirrels. The chance of wounding is too great to make it anything but a bird/rat/mouse/paper gun.

At seven fpe of energy at the muzzle the pellet looses about half that at 25 yards. Three fpe is marginal for head shots on squirrels, forget body shots, not humane.

That rifle would be perfect for protecting an orchard or eliminating vermin and bird pests at close range.

Excellent review! The HW30S is one of those rifles that you can have fun with all day long, without getting cocking fatigue. My 10-year old son learned how to shoot with one at the age of 7, and we sold it to buy him a 10-meter match rifle. But he's still somewhat sad about selling it. I'm searching for one with the laminate stock (he likes that a lot) and will surprise him with it any day soon, as soon as I find one.

The moral of this story, once you own one, don't sell it, because you will absolutely regret it! The HW30S is a s-load of fun!
