N/A Aesthetics

I prefer traditional wood stocks of simple, functional design with good character in the grain and, maybe, a bit of tastefully done checkering or stippling.

But I do get carried away sometimes. 🤪

This is a Yew and Maple stock I made for my AR20 from scraps leftover from other projects. Custom fitted, form follows function closely and no "adjustable bits" are required...

Only two things I could be considered jealous or envious of in my world.

One is a view when looking out from your homes deck or porch.
The second is artistic or musical talent …….

What is your preference as far as looks are concerned for your rifles? In my opinion the Air Arms S510 in walnut is one of the most beautiful guns out there..zebra wood with gorgeous bluing.
I want my rifles in a nice wood stock. Laminated, figured walnut, something. Beech or synthetic is fine if it’s a field gun.

I don’t love the look of most target / match rifles but I tolerate them because style does not win competitions.

This tacticool stuff could not less interesting to me. Same with bullpups. Compact is nice but I don’t want a magazine in my armpit.
