I prefer synthetic stocks for my PBs and stainless steel though I have plenty of blued and walnut guns. Synthetic is lighter, tougher, more practical for hard use and the POI does not change with the weather or time.

By any measure, this is hard to beat.

Only two things I could be considered jealous or envious of in my world.I prefer traditional wood stocks of simple, functional design with good character in the grain and, maybe, a bit of tastefully done checkering or stippling.
But I do get carried away sometimes.![]()
This is a Yew and Maple stock I made for my AR20 from scraps leftover from other projects. Custom fitted, form follows function closely and no "adjustable bits" are required...

Cheers!
I want my rifles in a nice wood stock. Laminated, figured walnut, something. Beech or synthetic is fine if it’s a field gun. What is your preference as far as looks are concerned for your rifles? In my opinion the Air Arms S510 in walnut is one of the most beautiful guns out there..zebra wood with gorgeous bluing.
Thats got some of the prettiest wood Ive seen on a Daystate.By any measure, this is hard to beat.
