Affordable AR Fold-able adapter?

EliMarcher,

I'm also in the market for an affordable stock hinge...! Still saving up to buy all the parts I need to turn a PP700 into a take-down subcarbine convertible pistol...! 😄

What are you trying to fold up?

I find the UTG so inexpensive, that I can buy a couple and mess with them to get them to work better -- IF they really need it.

I found that the UTG works with both the commercial and the mil-spec buffer tubes. Nice.

$10.36 was the best deal I found, here: https://www.cheaperthandirt.com/ak-47-stock-adapter-utg-converts-retractable-stocks-into-side-folding-stocks/FC-4712274521889.html

Here is a different type, ACE brand, now bought up by Double Star, for $52, that might work, depending on if you are planning to make major adaption work to your action anyhow for the attachment like I will need.

My favorite stock is this one here, Knoxx Axiom Adjustable Buttstock:

I went with the UTG purely for money reasons. It's temporary for sure. About a month ago I took my 8 year old out to shoot his first BB gun. I had a pellet gun I basically forgot about, but wanted to shoot something with my son. It brought back some memories, then I screwed up and starting looking at new air guns. Purely out of curiosity I looked up a local fish and wildlife laws and found out that as of 2018 you can hunt almost anything in the state of Florida. In a matter of a few weeks I have a Dragon claw, Benjamin Marauder Pistol, scba tank and all the other scopes and necessary nonsense. Figure I'd better start slowing down the addiction before I remortgage the house for a Texan or Fx!

The UTG adapters are very economical but I went with the SB tactical ones for my Armada and Armada carbine. They were around a 100 bucks and I got them from optics planet.
Are you happy with your adapter. I just bought my first Armada and want to start building it as soon as possible. I am also curious about your opinion on putting the same adapter on a Umarex Origin after installing the Buckrail tactical conversion kit
