After an hour running compressor Zero air in tank

Ihooked up my new Altaros and after an hour of running I don't have any air in my tank. There is a fitting on the main compression tube with a screen on it, Every time the piston moves air comes out of this fitting with the screen on it. Does this mean I have a blown seal on a new compressor? I haven't seen any bad reviews on the Altaros, so am I wrong about my thinking it is a bad seal. I am stumped.

Air should come out that fitting every stroke, that's how it works.
Have a dead head? Or close valve on your tank and pressurize only the fill line. It should bring just the line up to pressure fairly fast ( just be certain to bleed it when your done.
THAT is the only way I found my tiny leak ( which at high psi might as well be an open window) which was at the tank fill adaptor fitting.

Close your vale, pressurize the line wait for compressor to shut off, you'll find your leak.

How big is your tank ?
Are you filling your tank from empty ?
If filling from empty,it will take a while, depending on the output of your garage compressor .
If it's been running for an hour,it means that is sending air 'somewhere".
The Altaros has a psi limiter set up by the factory(didn't they asked you what pressure do you want it to be set at ?),so,when that pressure is reached ,the altaros will stop boosting .

I took it apart and checked for debris. I put back in and let compressor build to 125 psi. I pulled down on spring seal on water separator and I think and hope no more air leaks. I am filling empty tank. I will check in an hour to see if I have any pressure in tank. The way i'm checking is to turn off both compressors. Then close valve on air tank and bleed line. I haven't even had pressure in line.
