After much consideration, Iowa decides.

The state of Iowa has decided that Iowan's didn't appreciate the month of March quite as much as had been anticipated.
In a 5-4 decision the state decided to bring the month back, or a large portion of it's weather if other events can't be recreated.
Interviews with local Iowan's bring mixed emotions with older Iowan's brushing the decision off as "just politics" while younger more hopeful Iowan's aren't taking the news as calmly.
Before public comment could be posted or reviewed the weather stations had already set a forecast in motion that only a lover of the "damp" or "chill" could really appreciate.

This is yesterday, 6 more inches of ‘spring’ on top of 4 inches earlier this week.

weather seems to get more extreme, supposedly we will have one brutally hot summer coming, last summer was brutally hot. But many years ago it’s not that unusual to have mammoth sky resort to open till July 4th, this year is the first year that might happen in almost 2 decades.

Regards climate change, let’s not go there. For context I’m close to Canadian border where late April and early May snows are not uncommon. July is the only month in Minnesota without recorded snow fall. Oh, and it was 70° last week! That warm this early was unusual.

Yea,I can remember,,, what was I gonna say ? Oh yea. There was a May back in the early 80s,it was in the mid to upper 90's.People died. Before that there was the Blizzard of 78. January or Feb,can't remember but the day before t was like 68'outside.By the next morning single story houses were buried under snow.

Well I surely will not re-post the photo of all my Blue Bonnets in full bloom last month. That just would not be nice.

Truly, I just cannot grasp seeing snow in late April. Hopefully you will have a nice long Summer.

Oh my goodness and WOW. How long do you allow Summer guest to stay ? Do I see some moss beds just under the surface ? I only have 2-dozen fly rods but would be willing to share a couple with you .

How big is that body of water and how deep? Again WOW.
