AGD Talon P carbine with LDC (RECEIVED)

The airforce talonp is going for 589.99 worth he carbine stock and LDC. Seems like it would be a Good gun to leave by the back door whenever opportunity arises.

Has anyone tried the new ringloc kit that allows you to change the size of the transfer port? I know it’s basically copying the talon tunes quick change top hat.

Wonder what kind of shot count it could get at 30fpe. The AGD video shows 23 shots with a decent spread at stock power.

Anyone use a talonp recently? Or tune down their talon p?

Been a fan of the. TAlon p for a while. This is my finding. Very nice they added a pickle. Im still rocking the old R&L shroud on mine.

For my liking...the talon tunes is easier to change the inserts...but the ring lock has to flow more air because the stem is thicker ..and the talon tunes is a upgraded version of the original condor stem ..you can't install a talon tunes top hat in the place of the new rim lock stem it fall out because is thinner..I have both but haven't been able to play with the rim lock valve.

Well I ordered the Talon P carbine package from Airgun depot. I'm going to also order the ring Loc kit and change the orifice to one of the smaller ones. I believe I should get a decent shot count if I turn it down to 30fpe. I will report back with my findings.

With all the tuning work you've put in, making the talonp do whatever you want it to do is going to make you laugh inside.

I been only filling to 2500, at 25 fpe I only use 10 shots then refill, could easily double that by filling higher psi and shooting it down a little more.

I ran out of 25.39's should have more any day now, and I'll shoot a whole string.

Received the a Talonp today and got it assembled. Very nice size airgun! Forgot how cool these Air Force rifles felt to hold in hand. I probably won’t get to shoot till this weekend.

Also, the ring loc kit should be arriving direct from Air Force on Thursday. I don’t know what I was thinking but I purchased a 12inch .20 cal barrel from air forces cyber Monday deal. Only cost me $54. Couldn’t pass that one up. Ever seen a .20cal talonp?

the ringloc kit should help me tame the power for the .20cal. I’ll post results when I can.

It seems like we are on the exact same page. I actually just got the AFD TalonP carbine and the ring lock top hats. I don't have a chronograph yet, but the top hat reduction seems to make a pretty sizable difference in velocity and sound. For my neighborhood I am running the middle sized top hat. The sound is very low and velocity seems like a good compromise of power and reduced penetration. I was thinking if buying the .20 barrel just because it was on sale. Let me know what you think of it when you get it thrown together, I'm very curious. Also, I feel like the gun prefers to run under 3000 psi. I have been filling to ~2500 and shooting to ~1800 while getting about 25 good shots with the middle top hat.

I am wanting to buy a TalonP, but I only read about it using a hand pump or a bottle to fill the tank. I have neither, but have a Nomad II compressor. Will I be able to fill it from the Nomad, I have written twice to Talon Tunes and others but no one will answer me. Hope some one can help me please. I want to sell my Exanix & go to a simple single shot rifle. Thanks Dusty.
