My Vixen has been a little too loud for me and kept me from shooting as much as I like. I had Neil Clague make this 1.5 x 16-inch shroud. WOW, this thing works. I like to try new optics, so I put the Hawke 6x Prism on it. These little scopes are 100-yard fixed parallax-free. I changed it to 40 yards and found it very useable, from 20 to 50, without any noticeable error & clear focus. It did take some heat to move the objective, so I would not recommend it unless you are a gambler like me. However, this made a perfect 50-yard and less scope. It would be nice if Hawke would make a few with 40-yard parallax. I think small-game RF and air gunners would like this. Put a dot on it, too, just for kicks—Ten yards sight in on that.
