Anyone know if the barrel on the Vixen is choked in .22 ? I didn't find anything on the A.G.T website or my search on the web. I know it's fairly new, but I figured someone might know about the barrel as well as reg adjustment if that's even possible. Cool little gun from what I've seen. Supposed to be pretty light as well.

I really like the giant shroud. I also wonder if a longer tank could be installed. I'm not worried about the length as I usually have to add a few inches to most stocks.

Yes AGT uses choked CZ barrels!

The new Vulcan 3 in .30 is the only one I believe that is unchoked... purpose built for slugs !

I've been eyeing the Vixen myself for a out window pester at the farm permissions I have...

Sifting though slugs could be tedious anyway.. I love that shroud.

Great little guns. Yes there choked barrels. Reg adjustment is very straight forward. I did a post about it recently. Did a guess and check on it though when adjusting. Basically degas gun, unscrew the bottle and reg is right there.

I'm assuming you turn the inset allen clockwise to lower psi correct? Good picture.

Correct! Counter clockwise will increase reg pressure. Clockwise with decrease. You will of course need to dial more hammer spring tension after you’ve increased reg pressure to see a gain in fps.

make small changes and test. The adjustment are sensitive. Small adjustments can make significant changes. 1/8 turn can change reg pressure by 15 bar.

I have the Vixen Short. It’s a choked barrel but loves FX Hybrid 22gr slugs straight out of the box.

Nice group with those slugs! Too bad are they are so expensive .. $14.99 for 100 is kind of pricey for .22 cal slugs/ pellets. Even if you can get the 4th tin free.. Would be about $56 shipped for 400 small slugs with tax and shipping.. That's more expensive than .40 grain .22 LR with brass, and powder, which is too high right now.

You’re right! For plinking, I still have some 30,000 something JSB 18.13 but FX slugs are for hunting.

The .22 Vixen arrived this morning from Krale. So funny they always beat every other AG shop in the US for shipping time. Ordered soon after I started the thread. When I can log off for the day, out I'll check it out. Box looked like it sat in about 4" of water and at least one end of the outer box is destroyed..Hope they put it in a hard case but I doubt it. UPS.. sheesh

I think I finally got shot string dialed in. Took me about 450 pellets though.

@ 70 shots agv 920.8 fpsAbout 34 fpe average with 18.13 Jsb's.

SD is 2.5, ES 13. :)

Velocity seems to drop off the reg at about 150 bar. One fifty bar seems kind of high for a .22?

Maybe I'm wrong about the bar because it's a tiny gauge But getting 70 very consistent shots at 34 fpe works for me. It's supposed to be warm tomorrow, but work all day and windy anyway. :(

Good tune. No, 150 bar isn't high when you consider 34 FPE from a 400mm ~ 15.74" barrel that is in your gun.
