Air arms pro sport and tx200

So after much deliberation I decided to get a new springer…..Did I need one…. Nope. I have all the Airguns I need. But it’s sickness that can’t be measures in acquisition’s. And so far according to the medical reports. There is no cure in sight!!!! So since I turned 60 today… I treated myself to a new toy..toys…I couldn’t decide between the tx200 and the pro sport..I read so many reviews about both guns. Not to mention all the reviews about the hw97. I couldn’t decide. So I made a calculated decision. I bought them both… lol

They will be arriving next week . I will do a report on both guns and let whoever is interested in my thoughts on here….

I want to thank all of you in the air gun nation community for helping me in my decision as I see a lot of us have the same affliction!!!

regards

Joe

I have both as well. Beautiful rifles. My Pro Sport shoots perfectly out of the box. Accuracy, power, and shot cycle are excellent. My TX200HC is quite nice, but it was a bit twangy. I added a Vortek kit and it smoothed out noticeably. It is now more accurate. It shoots a bit slower than the PS with either the factory spring or the Vortek. I haven't figured out why. However the accuracy is so good I may leave it alone. Enjoy!

Barrel length is longer in Pro Sport I believe around 14 " compare tp 12" TX 200 could be why

Yep, AA went with sleeves over their barrels, so the actual barrel is quite a bit shorter than it appears. However in most cases the velocity has not been impaired nor has accuracy. I am still a fan of the older model TX with the barrel weight on the end, in my opinion, the older had a much better balance for offhand shooting. They are so popular I looked for almost 6 months with no luck and ended up with a MK3, no regrets, it shoots awesome. Just like the appearance and balance of the older models.
