AIR ARMS PRO SPORT VS TX 200

I've owned both. Both are incredible guns out of the box. The prosport is the best looking spring gun hands down, however, cocking it is a different story. The cocking handle is edgy and cumbersome, it's manageable but weird. The TX, is absolutely perfect. A little heavier, but a joy to cock and shoot. If I was buying another springer, it would be a TX or HW97K/HW77K. Also, the cocking linkage on the TX is more robust, I had issues with my Prosport, and while I did get it fixed, I never had any issues with the 3 TXs I had.
^what he said with emphasis!!!
Rub some boiled linseed oil or other recommended oils into your stock and bring it to life.

The TX200 has less cocking effort than the pro sport however I like the way the prosport looks, and I have had a TX200 in .22 it was an amazing rifle, I liked the .22 way more than the .177. I wish I would not have sold it. I would say if you’re planning on having extended range time go with the TX200. Either would be an outstanding choice, one more thought is that the TX200 .22 that I had absolutely loved crosman pellets. That being said I just ordered a laminate stock HW77 in .22 because of the cost savings and the durability of laminate, even if your not wanting to shoot open sights it may be something for you to consider.

from your post I would get the Prosport. They are the best looking spring rifle made. I would change your desire for a .22 to a .177 with a 12fpe spring. I have a TX200. Great rifle but the ProSport is just more refined. I shoot my TX in FT matches. I have shot matches with guys that shot Prosports and were always at the top of the leader board.
