Air Arms s510xs 177 Moderator Clipping?

Just acquired a slightly used s510. Shot it in a FT match today and had an occasional errant shot. I cleaned the barrel and in doing so i removed the moderator. I happened to look inside and noticed an odd shaped hole so i took it all apart. Not sure if the cups have actual clipping or if its just poop machining. The end cap looks hit a few times for sure though. Thoughts? Fixes?

When you reassemble, those baffles will be in different positions, so you should be able to determine immediately if the pellets are clipping. From appearance, it seems the alignment would be significantly off, more than I would imagine happening in the original assembly. Of course, stuff happens. A direct comparison with shooting without the moderator would also be informative.
