Air Arms TX200 vs HWs / Beeman Rs

Did a search but still have this question.......Is the quality of the Air Arms TX200 that much better than the HWs and Rs to be priced so much higher?
I have a chance to pick up a AA TX200 Hunters Carbine but it's several hundred higher than the German guns. I already own a R7 and R11 so I know what they're about, but I've never owned or shot an Air Arms TX200.
Thanks

I've seen the tx200 spoke of very highly around the forum.
🤔don't see much about the others...
But that's not to say they aren't good🤷‍♂️
My next springer purchase is on the back burner for now...
However I've looked into the weihrauch, AA, and Beeman.
...I'd get them all if I could afford them and let you know😅

Well i see guys working on each and seems having a hw you may not get stuck on parts , info, or like trigger adjustment, tuning and all. A hw lots of members got somthing in a part if in need or just help in general. I'll take a hw/r over aa all day.. aa is a nice gun and a good shootrr but ease of service and parts and more diy friendly i lean to a hw/r ..

Then everyone got there preference.

There is not one HW that is more "DIY friendly" than a TX200. That's really not even debatable. The TX200 is possibly the easiest gun to work on with the exception of the LGU, which is just ever so slightly faster to tear down. Also, Air Arms parts are just as easy to come by as Weihrauch parts. Everyone carries them.

With that being said, no they are not $400 easier to work on. You're paying for aesthetics there.

To OP: One thing I will add to my previous comment, I've never been thrilled with the .22 TX200s. In that caliber Weihrauch seems to have them beat across the board in my experience.

Just look up posts/ threads on what your asking and it flip a coin on one see for yourself . He says i say Choosey mothers choose jif, bit in the end upu just buy the one you like best and gsin your own experience on what you thinks best..

Heres a starter thread

My story.
I started with HW guns. Loved them and treasured them. Accurate, good looking. Quality. Tuned some of them with aftermarket parts etc. Not difficult.
Later I convinced myself I had to try the mythical Air Arms. So I got the AATX200, in 2 versions (2 calibers and 2 woods). I was disappointed. Not a single aspect of those guns were superior to HW, including the aesthetics department. At least for my eyes.
Maybe I had bad luck. Also this was 15 years ago...

Thanks y’all. Lot’s of good views. Ordered a walnut lefty TX200 Hunters Carbine(last one PA had) about an hr ago……I just had to
I’ll reciprocate with opinions in a week or so.
I’m crazy about my 2 break barrels…..we’ll see
You're going to like it. I bought a lefty TX200 just over two years ago. I too debated the HW, but I'm happy with my choice.

I've shot the HW30s and enjoyed it tremendously, however, I own a TX200 and wouldn't part with it. I think that the HW would have made a fine field rifle, but my Air Arms TX200 is irreplaceable. I wouldn't want to drag it all day through our desert mountains, but that's only because I couldn't bare to get a scratch on her.

I own several HWs, a RWS 54 and a TX200 MKIII Lefty in Walnut. I can say for me personally, the TX200 is a work of art IMO. The walnut stock and incredible blued finish on the gun makes it a keeper. As others have said, its one of the easiest guns to work on, You don't need a spring compressor to service it and there are a number of aftermarket tune kits and accessories available. From a shooting perspective, I've found the gun to be a tack driver at 25/35 yards provided I do my part. As with my other springers (ex the RWS54), it is hold sensitive and took me a few tins to sort out the best hold. I shoot primarily using a tripod from a seated position. If I had to have only one springer, it would have to be the TX200 for me.

I'm a Weihrauch lover too but I would love to own a TX200 as all the ones I have tried are so exquisitely built!

I own both , HW97 and Tx200 both .177 both shoot amazing, both wonderful to handel . but i shoot the tx200 more even thought the hw97 has a custom walnut lefty stock
Interesting, So maybe subconsciously you prefer the TX200 since you shoot it more?
I currently have an old battered HW77 .22 from the late 80s but it shoots amazing.
I did have a newer HW97 .177 which I could achieve a 10-shot group in my backyard (23 yards) all in the size of my little fingernail!
Like an idiot, I sold it this summer for £550 including a mk1 Viper Scope!
Since I have been browsing Guntrader I can't believe how much a used one costs now!
