Air Force Arrow guns

The Texans are simply to powerfull to shoot arrows as they are delivered.

An arrow or crossbow bolt be it aluminium or CF has felx or spine as it's called.

Full throttle in a Texan barres will result in the bolt flex so badly it'll be permanently deformed and never shoot straight again.

Here's flex/spine for you: https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=O7zewtuUM_0

If you want to experiment then start at @1500psi and measure speed, dont go for more than 500fps'ish.

Is this the video you talking about ?

Well I rather have a gun that shoots both arrows and bullets one after the other then a dedicated arrow only gun.

My REX carbine shoots a 390gr arrow at 505 fps and I can lost a bullet as soon as I shot the arrow and be ready to take a seconds shot in seconds

On the video he claims over 100 FPE correct on the Airforce ? ....my REX is 220 FPE with the AirBolt

Yes, those are the guns I was asking about! (I want a dedicated arrow gun) I love kayaking and hunting so this looks great to me. I don’t care for the looks of the Benjamin air bow. Still waiting to hear any updates from Airforce. Thanks for the video—-the one I saw was a Euro show with that same Airforce guy and the funny big bald guy that does all the shows over there.

You 100% sure you want a dedicated arrow gun ? .....You are kind of hancuffing yourself that way,

if Airforce is really the gun you want I would still get a Texan Carbine in .357 .45 or .50 and shoot Airbolts out of it

Airbolts are phenomenally accurate I used them both on a Dragon Claw and REX .357

To be able to also shoot bullets out of your gun is extrordinary helpful, ...you now have 2 guns in one,

Also with my REX I zero the gun at 20 yards with a heavy bullet and when I shoot an Airbolt out of it hits basically on the same POI.

I’ve been a Bowhunter and competitive archery for 32 years and worked in archery proshops fixing to be 30. An air bow and a bow or crossbow is completely different when it comes to archers paradox. A bolt shot out of a crossbow or an arrow shot form a bow is being pushed form the rear end of the arrow, in which causes the flex in the shaft. Most air bows with the exception of the Dragon Claws have a tube the the bolt sides over. That means the bolt is being pushed form the front and the shaft is not flexing(no paradox).
