Airguns of Arizona great choice. I am new to Airguns. My first purchase is a BROCOCK CommanderXR177 Cerakote. Yes, to all the "Enthusiastis" out there who are laughing because this is a lot of rifle for such a small Pellet.... that is true, but when I can - I go for quality to last a lifetime. We are ranch people, however I needed an extremely quiet Air rifle for the occasional duty to plink at critters and even coyotes in a Suburban environment populated by a ton of liberals. You talk about headaches with the neighbors ! .... Any way, traveling through the greater Phoenix area landed me at AofA. Chris and the other folks there were extremely helpful, answered questions with clarity and I practiced with air rifles of my choice until I found the right one.
In particular, the side lever action of the Brocock models are great. The 0db (decibel) Moderator "silencer" brings the sound to a quiet tap.... maybe similar to a carpenter's hammer dropping 1 to 2 feet onto a wooden deck. Love the 13 shot magazine. I chose the wide viewing MTC-SwatPrism 1250 (Prismatic-type) Scope, it has the wide field of view I needed to really see my targets. 2 items were a surprise plus I did not expect : 1st, The Atlas Precision Bi-Pod is an amazingly stable and well crafted Bi-pod.
And 2nd, The Savior-Coffin34Blk carrying case is just so spot on and clever- I can hike this "rig" anywhere...... I would however ask for more velcro straps from the Manufacturer. The only other difficulty being the fold-out action of the rifle stock is hard to engage the release tab. Maybe an issue with some... not so much for me.
Performance.... My first three Magazines... about an 1-1/2" grouping at first, and by the 3rd Magazine the grouping I was a knocking out the bulls eye with a grouping just a hair larger than a 5-cent piece. >> All at may 35 yards... ok not so far, but I was smiling at that.
One last thing, I rarely do reviews so I'm a-bit wordy, I was going to purchase on-line at first until chance took me to Arizona on a trip.... then I stopped in at the store. Any worry about doing business online with these folks should be discontinued. I spoke with them a few times prior to visiting the store and I can say any apprehension I may have had, though prudent in todays world, is not a thing here with AofA.
