Brand new rifle getting air in my face. Is this normal for Beeman 1358 under lever? There's no oring on the bolt probe nor does it look like it's designed for one. My Gauntlet doesn't do this so I'm just wondering is that normal for some PCPs?
On my FX MkII the bolt probe is recessed into an o ring slot milled into the receiver. I’ve never seen an air rifle without an o ring somewhere on the bolt.
Sorry. I'm new to PCPs. I figured it out. It's the air coming down the plastic shroud. It doesn't have a really good seal between it and the receiver face. I removed the muzzle device and shroud and fired. No air in my face. I may be able to resolve with some orings. It seemed weird as my groups were pellet on pellet. Seems if I was losing air at the probe my shots would've been everywhere. Ok that makes sense. Thanks for the reply. I just needed someone to hold my hand through that.
I'm having this problem except the air is 100% coming from the probe. There is an o-ring on the probe but it is sitting above the shoulder that would get pushed into the breech behind the pellet. When fired, the o-ring gets pushed back until it hits the back of the probe. I'm guessing that I am missing an o-ring that sits at the tip of the probe but have been unable to find anyone with a picture of the probe with an o-ring on it or a parts breakdown for this airgun :/
